You can share an invoice from Zetrr Invoice in two ways: a link your client opens in their browser, or a PDF file. Both look exactly like the preview in the editor.
Share a link#
- Open the invoice.
- Click Generate Public Link. Zetrr saves the invoice, creates the link and copies it.
- Paste the link into your email, WhatsApp or DM to the client.
A bar then says Public link is active, with Copy and Open buttons. The main button changes to Copy Public Link.
Your client doesn't need a Zetrr account to open the link. The page also has a Download PDF button, so they get the same file you would send.
Download a PDF#
- Open the invoice.
- Click the download button (Download PDF) at the top of the editor.
You can also download from the Invoices list: open a row's actions and choose Download PDF. If an image such as your logo couldn't load, Zetrr still downloads the PDF and tells you which image is missing, so you can try again.
Your invoice gets its number#
Generating a link or downloading a PDF issues the invoice. A draft gets its number at that moment, and the number is then locked. Check the details before you share. See Invoice numbers and financial years.
Know when your client opens it#
Sharing doesn't change the status. Set the status to Sent once you've sent the invoice. When someone opens the link of a Sent invoice, its status changes to Viewed on its own. See Mark an invoice as paid for every status.
If you cancel or delete the invoice#
- Cancelled: the link still opens, but the page says This invoice was cancelled. It no longer shows your bank account, UPI ID or payment QR, and offers no PDF download.
- Deleted: the link stops working for everyone who has it.
