Get the app#
The quickest way is zetrr.com/get/planner. On an iPhone or iPad it opens the App Store, and on Android it opens Google Play. On a computer it shows a QR code to scan with your phone, plus a download for Mac.
- iPhone and iPad: one app for both, from the App Store. It needs iOS 18 or later.
- Android: from Google Play. It needs Android 8.0 or later.
- Mac: in Planner on the web, open Settings and click Download for Mac. It runs on Apple silicon and Intel Macs with macOS 14 or later.
Use the same Zetrr account you use on the web.
- iPhone and iPad: email and password, Sign in with Apple, or Continue with Google.
- Mac: email and password, Continue with Apple or Continue with Google. Apple and Google sign-in open in your web browser, then bring you back to the app.
- Android: email and password, or Continue with Google. The Android app has no sign-up screen, so create your account on the web first.
Signing out on one device keeps you signed in on the others.
What syncs#
Boards, cards, scripts, Saved ideas, tags, to-dos, notes and board chat all sync. Changes appear on your other devices without a refresh. If you belong to more than one workspace, each app has a workspace switcher.
Working offline#
On iPhone, iPad and Android, Planner keeps your boards on the device, so you can read them without a connection. New tasks, ideas and cards you add offline sync when you're back online.
How the apps differ#
- Reminders: iPhone, iPad and Mac show to-do reminders as notifications on the device. The Android app doesn't show reminders yet, but a reminder you set there still fires on your other devices.
- Push notifications for chat mentions and approval requests reach the iPhone and iPad app.
- Scripts on Android are edited as plain text, so formatting on a line you change there is lost. Use the web or another app for rich formatting.
- Google Calendar is connected on the web only. See Sync Planner with Google Calendar.
- Widgets are on Mac, iPhone and iPad. See Add Planner widgets.
Keep the app up to date#
The iPhone, iPad and Android apps show Update available when a newer version is out. The Mac app updates itself, and you can choose Check for Updates… in the app menu at any time.
