Write in the editor#
Open a card and click into Script. Type / to add headings, lists, quotes, tables and more, or select text to format it. Type @ to mention a teammate, who then gets a notification. The script saves automatically as you type.
Under the script you'll see its character count, word count and an estimated speaking time, based on about 220 words a minute.
- Shoot Notes works the same way, for talking points, B-roll, locations and props.
- Increase text size and Decrease text size change how big the text looks on your screen, not the script itself.
- Enter focus mode fills the screen with the editor. Press Esc to leave.
- When you paste from the web, Planner keeps bold, italic, underline and strikethrough and removes other styling.
Version history#
Planner saves snapshots of your script as you write.
- Click Version history in the Script toolbar.
- Pick a version from the list to read it.
- Turn on Highlight changes to see what changed.
- Click Restore this version to bring it back.
Restoring saves your current text as a version first, so nothing is lost. To pin a milestone, click Save version and give it a name, such as First draft. Only named versions shows just those.
Teammates in your workspace see the same history. You can rename only the versions you saved.
Share a script#
- In the card, click Share.
- Click Create link.
- To protect it, click Add a password, type one and click Set.
- Click Copy link and send it.
Anyone with the link can read the script. They don't need a Zetrr account, and the page isn't listed by search engines. Click Stop sharing to switch the link off. If you change the password, everyone needs the new one.
In the apps#
The iPhone, iPad, Mac and Android apps have Script and Shoot Notes with version history. The Android app edits scripts as plain text, so formatting on any line you change there is lost.
