Your Automation results live in three places: the Dashboard, Analytics and Message History.
Dashboard: the last 7 days#
Each card compares the last 7 days with the 7 days before:
- Active automations: automations switched on now.
- DMs sent: direct messages your automations sent. Public replies aren’t included.
- Genuine comments: questions and meaningful comments sorted into Priority Comments.
- Contacts collected: emails and phone numbers people shared.
- DM open rate: the share of DMs Instagram reported as opened.
Below them, Last 24 hours shows today’s activity and Automation Performance lists your top automations and the leads they bring in.
Automations page#
The cards show Total Automations, Live Automations, Paused Automations, Total Runs and Followers Gained. A run is a comment or message an automation actually answered; a repeat comment that was skipped isn’t a run.
Each row shows its runs over the last 14 days and whether it’s Live or Paused. If messages are waiting to send, the row shows how many, such as “3 DMs queued”.
Analytics#
Choose Last 7 days, Last 14 days or Last 30 days. You’ll see Trigger Events, DM Messages Sent, Public Replies Posted, New Fans, Leads Captured and Messages Read, plus:
- Response Rate: of the people who triggered an automation, the share who received a DM.
- Typical Time to Send: the usual time from a comment to its message going out.
- Read Rate and Opt-out Rate.
- Followers Gained: people confirmed as new followers through Ask to follow first.
Select Export to download the numbers as a CSV file.
Message History#
From Analytics, select View all activity. Message History lists every message Instagram accepted from your automations in the last 90 days. Filter by All, Openers, Public replies, DMs or Follow-ups, search by name or message, and see which were read.
Top Fans and Leads#
Top Fans ranks people by how often they comment on your posts, never by DMs, and marks your Superfans and Regulars. Leads lists the emails and phone numbers people shared, with Export CSV. See Collect emails and phone numbers in DMs.
