Turn it on#
- Open your comment automation in Automations.
- Turn on Ask to follow first.
- Edit the “Follow me first” message, or keep the ready-made one.
- If you like, rename the buttons in Profile button text (default Visit Profile, which always opens your profile) and Confirm button text (default I'm following ✅).
- Select Save changes.
What the commenter sees#
When someone comments, Zetrr asks Instagram whether they already follow you.
- They follow you: they skip the ask and get your DM with the link straight away.
- They don’t, or Instagram can’t say: they get your follow message with Visit Profile and I'm following ✅.
When they tap I'm following ✅, Zetrr checks the follow with Instagram again. Tapping the button alone doesn’t unlock the link. If they still don’t follow you, they get: “Oops, you are not following. Follow to get the link.” Once Instagram confirms the follow, the link goes out.
With an Opening message#
If Opening message is also on, the Opening message goes first. Its tap is when Zetrr checks the follow: confirmed followers go straight to the link, and anyone else gets the follow ask before it.
See how many followers you gained#
The Followers Gained card on the Automations page counts the people who were asked to follow, tapped I'm following ✅ and were confirmed by Instagram as followers. A tap without following never counts, and a later unfollow is never subtracted. People who already followed you aren’t counted, because they never saw the ask.
Analytics has a Followers Gained panel too, with a daily view, a split by automation and Your followers now.
